👵🏻 Gangsta Granny 👵🏻
Okay, I have to be honest — this book is not exactly my cup of cabbage soup. 😂🥬 As my grandma would probably say: “Well, it’s not exactly my cup of cabbage soup, is it?” 💀
I actually think this book is more suitable for around 10–11-year-old readers. At 14, it’s definitely starting to feel a little too childish for me, and I don’t think I would enjoy it nearly as much if I read it for the first time now.
BUT I have to give it credit — there is SO MUCH f•••••• humor in this book. 😭😂 Some of the situations are absolutely ridiculous, and there were definitely moments where I was just sitting there like what the hell am I reading?! 💀
The relationship between the characters was also really cute, and I liked how the story wasn’t just about jokes. There was actually something more emotional underneath all the chaos.
And then the ending… 😭🕯️ Yeah. That part actually made me sad. When Granny dies, the whole story suddenly feels completely different. After all the funny and crazy moments, ending with something so emotional honestly hit harder than I expected.
So overall, I’d say this is a funny, cute and emotional book, but definitely one I’d recommend more to younger readers. For me, it’s a little too childish now, even though I can still appreciate the humor.
Final rating: 8/10 👵🏻😂
Would I reread it? Probably not. 😭
Would I recommend it to younger readers? Absolutely.
Best thing about it? The f•••••• humor. 😂
Most emotional part? Definitely the ending. 🕯️
