V.E. Schwab never fails me. I have yet to read a book of hers that I didn't enjoy and ultimately devour and Gallant was no different. Certainly not my favorite of her works (Addie Larue or Darker Shade carry that torch), this was nevertheless an entertaining and well worth it stand alone read.
