Synopsis

G.O.D.S. introduces a hidden layer of the Marvel Universe built around two vast, opposed cosmic entities: the Powers-That-Be, who preside over magic and the weird, and the Natural-Order-of-Things, which governs science through a bureaucracy of "Centivars." Wyn, the Powers' sole avatar, finds his personal and professional life upended when his ex-wife Aiko rises to become the newest Centivar, putting them on opposite sides of a long-simmering cold war.

When a looming catastrophe called the Babylon Event threatens to destroy everything both sides are meant to protect, Jonathan Hickman and Valerio Schiti build an entirely new corner of Marvel cosmology out of the tension between magic and science — and the fraying relationship caught between them.
