Funny Business

Funny Business is the first book in Kayley Loring's Brodie Brothers series, a low-angst romantic comedy that crosses over with her Name in Lights books but reads as a standalone.

Owen Brodie is a model turned stand-up comedian, newly divorced, and about to develop and star in a single-dad family comedy for a streaming service. Three years earlier he was heckled off-balance mid-set by a sharp-tongued woman in the crowd. When he needs a nanny for his son Sam while he tours, that same woman, Frankie Hogan, takes the job.

The result is an enemies-to-lovers comedy built on banter, forced proximity, and a comedian who is funnier on the page than he is on stage. Loring keeps the conflict light and the flirtation heavy.
