Freshwater boys

This collection of eleven short stories is set around the Great Lakes of Michigan. The narratives follow adolescent and pre-adolescent boys as they grapple with their understanding of manhood, facing doubts and confusion about their paths. The landscapes and lakescapes, particularly Lake Michigan, act as significant elements, where characters find both peace and tragedy, and where things begin anew or fade away.
