Although it's part of a much greater story, and although it's something like a prequel since it has been written after the first Foundation stories, this book is a fine example of Asimov's storytelling abilities, and, also, of what Sci-Fi is really about. Deeply philosophical and political, it comprises mostly of conversations and thoughts, as the writer himself admitted, but it still is a page-turner, even after so many decades.
