Synopsis
In Forgotten God, Francis Chan asks why so many Christians and churches are known for competence and intellect rather than the power the Bible attributes to the Holy Spirit. He argues that fear of excess or manipulation has led much of the modern church to functionally sideline the Spirit, treating faith as a matter of correct belief and moral effort rather than dependence on God's active presence.
