Forest of whispers

Raised by a fortune-teller in the Bavarian Black Forest, Rune has always followed two rules: take only what you need from the forest, and never look villagers in the eye. But when the whispers of a long-dead mother with a vengeful secret begin to haunt her, Rune is forced to flee her home. She soon uncovers a terrifying legacy of witchcraft, murder, and fear that binds her, revealing that even the trees are no longer safe.
