Synopsis

In Red's kingdom, the First Daughter is for the throne and the Second Daughter is for the Wolf. As the only Second Daughter born in centuries, Red is fated to be given to the Wolf in the Wilderwood, in the hope he will return the world's long-captured gods. Plagued by a dangerous magic she can't control, she almost welcomes it—until she reaches the Wood and finds the legends lie: the Wolf is a man, not a monster, and her power is a calling, not a curse. If she cannot learn to wield it, the darkness devouring the Wilderwood will swallow her world whole. First in the Wilderwood duology.
