Footer Davis probably is crazy

Eleven-year-old Footer Davis and her friends begin investigating after a nearby farm is burned, the farmer murdered, and his children vanish. As they uncover clues, Footer experiences unsettling flashbacks, leading her to question her own sanity and fear she might be following in her mother's footsteps, who is institutionalized in Mississippi.
