Synopsis

Valentine Ardsley escapes the constraints of young ladyhood by disguising herself as a boy to work on Lord Diccon Leyburn's Yorkshire estate. Her deception is quickly uncovered by the imperious Lord Leyburn, who then offers her a marriage of duty, not desire.
