Synopsis

The first Flight anthology, edited by Kazu Kibuishi: twenty-three short comics in full colour by young artists who mostly came out of animation, art school and early webcomics rather than the comics industry. Flight is the loose brief, taken literally and otherwise, so the book runs from the maiden voyage of a home-built aeroplane to a courier and her flying whale to quieter pieces about growing up and letting go. Wildly different drawing styles between one story and the next, which is the point.
