Synopsis

A new evil threatens the world of Midkemia, its influence reaching from the criminal underworld to the highest echelons of power. The Conclave of Shadows, unexpectedly tasked with training two apprentices, must also confront powerful agents of dark magic as the fate of two worlds hangs in the balance. Meanwhile, a prophetic dream awakens the sorcerer Pug to an impending invasion, while his son uncovers the beacon guiding an alien army. Far away, two young boys are thrust into a life of intrigue, murder, and treason, called upon by the mysterious Conclave to expose a dark plot within the Empire of Great Kesh.
