Five quarters of the orange

Framboise Dartigen returns to her childhood home in Les Laveurs, a small village on the Loire, under an assumed name. She reopens her family's restaurant and begins cooking her mother's recipes — dishes that were once celebrated by the entire town before a single act of betrayal during World War II turned Mirabelle Dartigen into a pariah. As Framboise finds success with her food, she is forced to confront the truth about what happened in 1940: an affair with a German officer and a choice between love and loyalty that cost her family everything.
