Not only was this series horribly written, but it did not accurately portray the lifestyle it is supposedly about. It perpetuates a stereotype that people who enter into these consenting sexual relationships do so as coping mechanisms for abusive pasts. All the while depicting an extremely unhealthy relationship between two immature and codependent people with massive trust issues. It's not romantic and it's not sexy.
I suppose you could skip everything between the sex scenes, but even then you have to face the poor writing and lifestyle inaccuracies. So, I suggest getting your smut fix elsewhere. And please, do not take anything discussed in this book about the BDSM lifestyle to be accurate. Being involved in a D/s relationship does not mean you can not love, respect, and trust your partner. Not every person who chooses to engage in BDSM has some kind of abusive past. I won't ramble on forever, but please don't make judgement calls based on a piece of fiction... Twilight fanfiction at that. Get your information from a more reliable source.
