This book has one major problem: Dr. Albright doesn't understand fascism. The book starts off well enough, with discussions of Mussolini and Hitler, but the author then proceeds to shoehorn every authoritarian into the fascist label.

She puts Stalin and Hugo Chavez in this camp in a clumsy attempt to discredit anti-capitalism ("Communism doesn't work"), then mostly serves as an apologist for U.S. imperialism (her argument is basically that yes the U.S. has done horrible things but it means well).

Very disappointing book.
