Lindsey Fitzharris is an American medical historian and author. She holds a PhD in the History of Science, Medicine and Technology from the University of Oxford. She is the author of The Butchering Art (2017), a biography of surgeon Joseph Lister that won the PEN/E. O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award, and The Facemaker (2022), about World War I plastic surgery pioneer Harold Gillies.
