There was a lot of potential here to develop this slightly futuristic dystopia, but it pretty much fell flat with just the romance.
I think it could have been a more interesting, more well rounded story, had the author explored some of the medical ethics topics she briefly touched on - the anti-vax movement, the kids living in a sanatorium, etc.
