Synopsis

A runaway from a notorious Russian Bratva family is trying to build an ordinary life on her own terms, swearing off the dangerous world she fled. Against her own rules she allows herself one reckless night with a charming stranger, certain she will never see him again. Then she walks into her new job and finds him behind the boss's desk. Knox Van Doren is wealthy, magnetic, and entirely too aware of the secret they now share, and he has no intention of letting her forget it. What begins as mutual blackmail and a battle of wills tips into obsession as he sets out to claim not just her body but her loyalty, while her hidden mafia past threatens to drag them both under. She knows he is the kind of man a smart woman runs from, yet every attempt to escape only binds them tighter. The story leans into power games, secrets used as leverage, and the slow collapse of the distance between two people who each believe they are the one in control. As old enemies and family obligations close in, she must decide whether the empire she stumbled into is a cage or the only place she has ever truly belonged.
