Synopsis

El hombre de cristal (Glasmannen), the second novel in Anders de la Motte's Asker series, follows Inspector Leonore "Leo" Asker, head of Sweden's Lost Cases Unit, as she gets an unexpected call from the father she has not spoken to in over fifteen years: a body has been found on his secluded estate, and he is the police's chief suspect.

Running alongside Asker's investigation, writer Martin Hill moves onto the same estate to research a biography of businessman Gunnar Irving, drawn in by an abandoned astronomical observatory on the grounds. As Hill uncovers mutilated bodies and unexplained lights, the two storylines converge on a serial killer known only as the Glass Man.

A Nordic noir police procedural steeped in family secrets and long-buried history, it continues a series that topped bestseller lists in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
