The characters were uninteresting, and none of them had depth. I really hated how much focus the husband took in the second half of the book.
The whole message about the factory was repeated so many times that it became cartoonish; although I think that was the intent, it got annoying reading the same thing again and again.
I personally think the first half of the book, when we follow the protagonist's childhood, was much more interesting and the ideas were executed much better. The second part felt more like a bunch of shock-value nonsense.
Anyway, if you still want to read it, check the trigger warnings first.
