A hardcore classic, long descriptive passages, reflective, GORGEOUS prose and sometimes extremely uneventful (which made it hard to read because I kept zoning out and whenever I zoned back in, Proust was still describing the church's wall).\nMy reading pace was unsteady, I could read 40 pages in one sitting, then struggle with 5. \nMaybe my brain got so used to modern literature and its fast pace that it couldn't handle the slowness, which makes me want to read more classics, to rewire my brain a bit.\nWas I bored? VERY! Did I enjoy it? Debatable! There were passages that made me see why this is considered a masterpiece, and passages that made me want to scream ''GET TO THE POINT''! But again, brain not used to the rythm issue.\n\nWill I read the rest of the books of ''À la Recherche du Temps Perdu''... I seriously doubt it.
