Drop Dead Sisters

Drop Dead Sisters is Amelia Diane Coombs's 2024 adult debut and the first book in the Finch Sisters series, published under Mindy Kaling's Book Studio imprint.

Remi Finch, the anxious youngest of three sisters, is dreading the family reunion her parents have planned to celebrate their anniversary — a camping trip that puts her back in a tent with siblings she has spent years avoiding. Then a dead body turns up at the campsite. Worse, it belongs to someone they know, and the sisters have good reason to think one of them is responsible.

What follows is a comic mystery about covering tracks and, in the process, reluctantly rebuilding a relationship. Coombs, previously a young-adult novelist, plays it for dark comedy in the vein of Bad Sisters and Dead to Me: sharp, fast, and more interested in the sisters than in the corpse.
