Drop Dead

Nadine Barbault, nicknamed "Lady Death" for her obituary work at the Toronto Herald, runs a premature obituary for reclusive author Dot Voline — only to discover Dot is alive and well, to the great delight of rival reporter Wesley Chen at the competing Spear.

When renewed interest in Dot surfaces an old scandal, Dot refuses to talk to either journalist alone, demanding instead that Nadine and Wes work together if they want her story.

Dot then actually dies before finishing her account, leaving Nadine and Wes three weeks of access to her sprawling mansion to find the truth — and discover there might be more between them than a shared desire to win.
