Synopsis

This is the Turkish edition of the Edginton/Culbard graphic novel adaptation of The Sign of the Four, part of a series of Sherlock Holmes graphic novels that also adapted A Study in Scarlet, The Hound of the Baskervilles, and The Valley of Fear.

When Mary Morstan arrives at Baker Street with an inexplicable story — a pearl sent to her every year by an anonymous benefactor, and now his sudden disappearance — Dr. Watson is drawn in, and Sherlock Holmes is roused from idleness by the case. The trail runs through a stolen fortune, a one-legged man, his barefoot accomplice, and the "sign of the four," a mark left behind at the scene of an old betrayal.

Culbard's illustration renders Doyle's Victorian London in a moody, pulp-inflected style, while Edginton's script compresses the novel into the comics form without losing its central mystery.
