Don't Let Her Stay

2023

Synopsis

Joanne Atkinson has the life she always wanted: a devoted husband in Richard, a longed-for baby daughter, and a beautiful house in a quiet English village. Then Chloe arrives — Richard's estranged twenty-year-old daughter, who has kept her distance ever since the marriage but now says she wants to reconnect and help with the new baby.

At first Chloe seems like a gift. She charms her father and makes herself indispensable around the house. But her warmth never quite reaches Joanne, and small things begin to go wrong: misplaced belongings, confused arrangements, quiet insinuations that Richard is not the man Joanne believes him to be. As doubt seeps into every corner of her once-perfect home, Joanne can no longer tell who is protecting her and who is playing her.

Don't Let Her Stay is a fast, twisting domestic thriller about the fragile trust at the heart of a family, and how easily a stranger with the right claim on your husband can turn a safe home into a trap.
