Dominion Required
Synopsis
Dominion Required is the second novel in the Lochlan Ellyll series by H.S. Paisley, published in 2020. It continues the urban and paranormal fantasy story introduced in Magic Required, following the immortal Lochlan and the newly awakened magic-wielder Zemila.
The novel picks up in the emotional aftermath of the first book's violence: Lochlan has resorted to a forbidden, addictive form of dark magic to save Zemila's life, and the fallout strains the fragile trust between them. Zemila, meanwhile, works to understand and control her emerging powers while processing trauma and the knowledge of what her rescue cost. The story blends character-driven relationship tension with escalating supernatural threat.
The Lochlan Ellyll trilogy comprises Magic Required, Dominion Required, and Haven Required. The series will appeal to readers of contemporary and urban fantasy centered on magic, morally grey immortals, and slow-burn character dynamics.
