Synopsis

Asja Bakić's essay collection, Dođi, sjest ću ti na lice, offers sharp, uncensored commentary on current social events in Croatia. Fiercely advocating for freedom of speech, Bakić confronts all forms of discrimination, particularly those concerning gender inequality and transphobia. From an explicitly feminist perspective, she criticizes the decline of the welfare state and attacks on women's health, passionately defending humanistic values. Bakić names and publicly calls out individuals and groups who spread hate speech, tackling topics often avoided by the wider community.
