Synopsis

Dirty Like Me opens Jaine Diamond's Dirty rockstar romance series, following the members of the rock band Dirty and the people who fall for them. Struggling barista Katie Bloom doesn't recognize rock star Jesse Mayes when she wins a contest to appear in his new music video, but the sparks between them on set are impossible to fake. Jesse proposes an arrangement: Katie plays his girlfriend for six weeks while he promotes his latest album, with their steamy on-screen chemistry strictly for the cameras.

What starts as a publicity stunt to boost record sales and pay Katie's bills turns into something neither of them planned for. As the music video climbs the charts and the lines between performance and reality blur, Katie and Jesse have to figure out whether what's growing between them can survive once the cameras stop rolling. The book kicks off a long-running series centered on the band Dirty and its members' romances.
