It's been YEARS since I've read anything by Murakami. There was a point when I couldn't enjoy him anymore because the phase was over etc... So, Desire, 5 short stories that encompass the style of Murakami: delicate and borderline bizarre. Because, Murakami Murakami-ing is a thing. It takes you by surprise. These stories though could be a good introduction to the writer's universe. My personal favorite was Samsa in Love, it surprisingly takes place in Prague, and if you read Kafka's Metamorphosis, this is the reverse situation or maybe a sequel to the story. Lovely read overall.
