Delicate

A novella rather than a novel, and a deliberate on-ramp: Delicate is a short first look at Kade and Olivia, the couple at the centre of Willow Winters' dark romance Broken.

Winters positions it as something to read before Broken itself, both because it sets up the relationship and because it makes plain what kind of book is coming. Broken is dark romance dealing with captivity and coercion, and Delicate exists partly so that a reader can find that out at novella length rather than a hundred pages into the novel.

Short, fast, and not a standalone story in the ordinary sense: it is the opening of a longer one.
