Synopsis

Shiarra, called Shia, has a complicated relationship with the werewolf Chaz. After some rough patches, she is ready to make it serious, and that means taking the next step with his family. In this case the family is his whole werewolf pack, and the meeting is a full-moon weekend in the Catskills.

The trip goes wrong soon after the group arrives. Notes appear telling Chaz to go home, and then someone ransacks their cabin. Shia starts investigating to learn who is behind it, and the suspects range from a band of upstart teenaged werewolves to something far more dangerous.

She works under pressure from inside the pack as well. Rumors about her ties to vampires stir up hostility among the werewolves, so she has few people to trust. An enemy is also close to showing that he means to kill.

This is urban fantasy with a werewolf romance at its centre and a mystery driving the plot. The tone mixes banter and menace, and the open question is who among the people around Shia is the threat closest to her.
