It’s really impressive how Cixin Liu created such an immersive and ambitious sci-fi trilogy. The way he mixes philosophy, politics, and big questions about humanity and survival is fascinating. The ideas feel both terrifying and thought-provoking, and the scope of it all is just massive.
That said, it’s surprising how a story this deep can still fall into old stereotypes when it comes to writing women. Most of the female characters feel flat or idealized compared to the rest, which takes away from an otherwise brilliant series.
Still, it’s a powerful read that stays with you long after you finish it.
