Dead Run

In July 1983, Dennis Stockton arrives on Death Row at Mecklenburg Correctional Center, charged with murder for hire. Despite his claims of innocence, he is sentenced to die. Stockton begins keeping a diary, which becomes his lifeline and a record of the prison's inner workings. When an ingenious escape plot unfolds, Stockton faces a choice: join the 'Mecklenburg Six' in their daring breakout or bet on a new trial. His journal, later published, exposes a scandalous portrait of Death Row, making him the most hated man in Virginia's prisons.
