Synopsis

Roman rond een mislukte concertpianiste die uit de verstikkende symbiose met haar moeder ontsnapt door voyeurisme. Tenslotte vindt zij haar seksuele identiteit nog slechts in de vernedering door het masochistiche geweld met een van haar leerlingen. Oorspronkelijke titel: Die Klavierspielerin. Tussen een pianolerares en een leerling ontstaat een relatie waarin de seksualiteit als machtsspel wordt beleefd.
