Set almost a year after the events of the first Charlie Parker book, Dark Hollow is equally thrilling, fast paced and haunting; I really loved this cross-over between hard-boiled/noire and stephenkingish stories (the fact that the book is taking place in Maine reminds even more the latter). Charlie Parker is a very interesting and deep character, and the same can be said for most of the characters we meet even for a few pages. Dialogues and descriptions, usually the most difficult to write parts of a book are extremely well-written. Heading for the next in the series ASAP.
