Wow. I went into this with zero expectations and holy moly I loved this book. I got the audio too but ended up reading most of it on my kindle.
Archer and London’s backstories were heartbreakingly tragic. Archer lost the love of his life, London went through horrific abuse at the hands of someone who was supposed to love her unconditionally, and lost her mom due to the same man. My heart hurt for them from the start.
I loved London’s sass and attitude. It reminded me so much of myself. She’s absolutely hilarious and she was CRUMBLING Archer’s walls from the second they met. His grumpiness was oddly endearing because it was obvious that underneath all that he was a total softy.
The twists in this one were slightly predictable but I still found myself almost shocked when I got to them anyways. Like MADISON?! Ugh. I saw it coming but not the full extent of it.
I did notice a few inconsistencies and holes but nothing that took away from my enjoyment or experience. I am dyinggggg for book two and will be obsessively checking NetGalley for it as often as I can.
