Born into the notorious Children of God cult, Bexy Cameron experienced her first exorcism at age nine and was forced into a year of silence at ten. After escaping the commune at fifteen, she spent years trying to build a normal life, but the shadows of her upbringing remained. In her late twenties, she set out on a road trip across America to investigate other modern cults, seeking to understand the people who join them and finally confront her own past.
