Synopsis

Carolina Fuentes has always wanted to hunt the bloodthirsty monsters that terrorize her pueblo alongside her family, but her father wants her married off and out of town instead. Weeks after a devastating attack on her family, Carolina finds Lalo Villalobos, a young man who became a vampire while avenging his own parents' deaths and has fled to a remote pueblo rumored to hold the secret to reversing his condition. Carolina catches him feeding on an animal rather than a person and hesitates to kill him, confused that he seems nothing like the monster she expected. Instead of ending his life, she agrees to help him search for a way to restore his humanity, even as it puts everything she believes about hunters and monsters to the test. A young adult historical paranormal romance drawing on Mexican folklore.
