I don’t think I’ve ever finished a book feeling this emotionally wrung out.
I’m crying. I’m smiling. My heart hurts. Somehow, it also feels full. I genuinely don’t know how Liv Zander managed to make me feel every emotion imaginable in a single ending.
This duet put these characters through absolute hell, and I was right there with them for every heartbreaking moment. I became so attached to them that turning the final page felt like saying goodbye to people I’d fought beside.
The ending was beautiful, devastating, hopeful, and so deeply deserved. It didn’t erase the pain they’d endured, but it honoured it. That made it all the more powerful.
