Synopsis

Crossroads is Jonathan Franzen's sweeping multi-generational saga following three women across decades of American life. Beth Miller's marriage to her doctor husband begins to fracture under the weight of his infidelity; her daughter Tess navigates her own relationship turmoil while raising a young son; and their mother, now in her later years, confronts the choices that shaped her past. Told with Franzen's signature lyrical realism, Crossroads is a meditation on love, betrayal, and the enduring bonds between mothers and daughters.
