Synopsis

In the early 1940s, sixteen-year-old Billy Parham sets out from his family's ranch in New Mexico and crosses into Mexico to hunt a wolf that has been preying on their cattle. What begins as a boy's obsession with hunting and adventure becomes a perilous odyssey across the border — twice, then again later in life — as he pursues an elusive woman named Elena and confronts the violence, betrayal, and moral ambiguity of the frontier.
