Synopsis

Lyla Eden has spent years running her coffee shop and watching her siblings fall in love while she stays married to her work — until her sister stages an intervention and kicks her out for a day off. On a hike outside Quincy Falls, Montana, Lyla stumbles on a man washing blood from his hands in a stream; when she gets too close, his hand closes around her throat before he lets her go and vanishes.

When she reports the encounter, Detective Vance Sutter — carrying a tarnished badge and a case that has haunted his career — arrives in town, and Lyla turns out to be his only real lead. Their investigation pulls the two together fast, blending small-town romance with a mystery that doesn't stay simple.

Crimson River is the fifth entry in Devney Perry's Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling Edens series, in which each book follows a different sibling and can be read as a standalone romantic suspense.
