I read this book when I saw the trailors of the movie. And I did not see the movie till I had finished reading the book. And I'm glad I did. Both are beautifully made in their own ways. The book is structured very differently from any other book. The stories end abruptly in the middle, only to fit together in at the end. Also , the way it spans across generations is brilliant. Writing six stories in six different styles in one book - an absolute treat to read.
