Definitely less "action-packed" than the last book, and while the book focused more on the character growth of Simon and touched a little on Clary and Jace and their relationship and struggles, I feel like it fell short in many ways of such a big build and it was the last page of when something ended up happening.. Definitely will continue the series because I'm invested now, but hope there's a little more happening in the last two books than this one.

This book was especially difficult for me cause I felt like I could be everyone in the book.

i wasn't sure about this book. the third one felt complete, and when i picked this one i didn't know if it was going to be good, because i couldn't think of anything else that could happen to the characters that could be as interesting as valentine's story. but damn!! things escalated quickly. not very quickly though because it took a while until the story was set in motion, but details that seemed unimportant came back later, and they made sense! I'm intrigued by this change in the series and i want to see what happens next, especially after that ending. i hope it's good.

I promise that after I finish the MI I will never start series that have more than 4 books, this is too straining... as for this book, great suspense in the end, even though I still can't believe someone is actually able to kill Lilith, her powers have been greatly diminished in this narrative, Valentine was harder to kill than a goddess, which in my opinion doesn't make much sense. Jace and Clary's relation is getting way too complicated, I miss the times when they thought they were brothers and sisters (thank you GRRM for making smething as horrible as incest seem acceptable!). I wanted more developments to occur in this book, because besides the last pages, nothing of great importance happened
