Christmas on Nutcracker Court is the fourth book in Judy Duarte's Mulberry Park series, set in the San Diego suburb of Fairbrook, a town of old houses on streets with names like Sugar Plum Lane and Nutcracker Court.

Single mother Carly Westbrook is struggling to give her two sons a merry Christmas, and their run-ins with a neighbour, aspiring novelist Max Tolliver, slowly turn into something warmer. Max is recovering from a divorce and has taken leave from his job to write his first novel. Across the street lives Grant Barrows, whose fortunes have fallen and who becomes the target of the matchmaking efforts of a poker-playing group of women known as the Diamond Lils.
