Synopsis

Katherine O'Connor spends her days in a cafe on Seattle's Blossom Street, writing Christmas letters for people whose lives need a little help sounding interesting. She is very good at it. Dr. Wynn Jeffries, a celebrated child psychologist who frequents the same cafe, thinks Christmas is built on deception and advises parents to bury Santa under the sleigh.

Katherine thinks his Free Child philosophy is doing real damage — she has the evidence in her five-year-old twin nieces, raised by the book. Wynn thinks her letters are simply lies. They argue about nearly everything, and neither of them is in any hurry to stop.

Christmas Letters is a standalone Christmas romance set in the Blossom Street world, written in Debbie Macomber's warm, domestic register: a story about the distance between honesty and kindness, and about learning to live with someone who sees the world differently.
