Synopsis

Christmas in Alaska collects two of Debbie Macomber's Alaska-set holiday romances in one volume. Neither is new; the pairing is a seasonal reissue.

In Mail-Order Bride, Caroline Myers has just been jilted and her matchmaking aunts pack her off on what looks like a vacation. It lands her in Gold River, Alaska, spending a snowy Christmas in Paul Trevor's home under the impression, on his side, that she is his mail-order bride. The misunderstanding is real. So, it turns out, is the possibility underneath it.

In The Snow Bride, the usually level-headed Jenna Campbell flies north to marry a man she met on the internet. On the plane to Fairbanks she meets Reid Jamison, who is convinced she is making a mistake and changes her destination to prove it, leaving her stranded in tiny Snowbound with him, a handful of eccentric old-timers and the local grizzlies.

Both are warm, clean, small-town holiday romances in Macomber's usual register.
