💭Thoughts:
Tomi Adeyemi keeps me on my toes!! Every time I think I’ve got the plot figured out, a new twist comes in! My jaw was on the floor half the time, I thoroughly enjoyed following these kids around as they grew and were shaped into the fierce warriors they are!
While overall this story is robust and vibrant, I did find myself constantly wondering about Nehanda and Roën throughout the story. It felt like they were just afterthoughts for this story, especially considering how significant they are to the series. The pacing and timeline were also a bit trickier to keep track of than the two previous books. But my goodness. This is an incredible fantasy series I think everyone should explore!
