As I've never read Wuthering Heights, I can't talk about how this book does as a retelling of it, I can only talk about how it stands on its own.
I did like it. It took some time to pick up, but toward the end it was absolutely riveting. Out of the five or so main characters, I liked Chelsea and Coop — as well as Jackie — the best. I didn't like Hence very much, though I know I was supposed to. The writing was good, better than other more popular books I've read, and paced to keep me interested.
I'd recommend this book to the older end of the high school spectrum, though perhaps not to college students such as myself.
